The SBSA Women's Softball team played host to the Hong Kong Softball Association (HKSA) U15 Softball Team while they were here on a training camp from 13 to 17 April 2023.
It was a meaningful 3 days as games were arranged with Methodist Girls School (National School Games B Div Champions), Maiko Junior, 2022 U12 Mixed Team, and our own U15 Women Softball Team. Both U15 teams from Hong Kong and Singapore are currently training towards the U15 Women Softball Asia Cup and it was a pleasure to have the Hong Kong team over for some sparring games.
As our new Jurong field is still in the works, SBSA managed to secure Queenstown Stadium and Singapore American School's (SAS) Westfield as alternatives for the Hong Kong team's practice sessions and sparring games, with the help of SportSG, SAS, and various individuals.
We would like to thank all individuals who have helped to make this event a smooth sailing one. In particular, we would like to thank Geoffrey Rodocker, Director SAS Community Sports and Activities, for supporting the local softball community with the usage of their facilities to grace the event over the weekend.
